Shiny is a framework and tool that enables us to create interactive web applications (in R or in Python). I was surprised by how quickly I got this up and running - about 25 mins after installing Streamlit for the first time, I had a deployed and (mostly) working app! Shiny for Python definitely has a lot of potential and I’d be interested to hear from those with experience in building apps in other Python frameworks how Shiny stacks up against the competition. In my opinion, one of the best things about R is the wide-range of community developed packages - including the numerous packages that extend the functionality of Shiny. I’m super excited by Shiny for Python, and it felt very easy to use - at least as an R user with experience of Shiny in R. The Shinylive documentation provides a longer overview of the pros and cons. https://payidpokies1.com
